It's not bad, but nothing special. The sauce they're most proud of is more herbal tasting than sweet and it's kind of cold. My overall feeling is that they're not too generous on the ingredients. Portion's not bad but each dish feels like there's something missing.

Two of us tried Little Nicks for the first time recently. We both ordered the same thing - the Lasagna Dinner. It was very tasty and HUGE. We also ordered the minestrone soup with our meal, which was delicious and hearty. I wish the garlic knots were a little more garlicky but hey, I'm a weirdo with my garlic intake. Overall it was a great first visit! We'll definitely go back.

Just okay pizza. The service was really slow and we couldn't find our server when we needed refills or when we were ready for our check.

Their pizza is good however I find that charging 16.00 for a glass of house wine, during happy hour, is out of this world! This is a pizza joint with plastic table cloths with plastic over them. Their prices should reflect that.

So I came here to order a small pizza for lunch. Never having been here before I didn't know what to expect. The place is pretty small, maybe seating about 30 at most. The have a small bar up front with a few beers on tap, Stella, Blue Moon, etc. The entire restaurant was dimly lit giving it the illusion that it was night time, even though it wad blindingly sunny outside. The menu itself was pretty bizarre, being half Italian and half Mexican. Also the topping choices for a pizza were sadly low; pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and a few other ordinary ingredients. I order a small 10" pizza with pepperoni and green peppers. What's puzzling is that there were also red peppers on my pizza, which I thought were tomatoes at first. Then I remembered there were no tomatoes as a topping choice They were actually hunks of red peppers. It made me wonder: why specifically put green peppers on the menu if they're just a combination of both red and green peppers?! The pizza was pretty sub par. Kind of bland and undercooked as the crust wasn't quite crisp yet. Also, it seemed confused as to whether it wanted to be Chicago or New York style pizza as it was slightly fluffy, but not quite. Next time I think I'll just order from Papa John's for my pizza fix.

Nice looking place on the inside, Staff was very friendly, but the Pepperoni and mushroom pizza(almost 20 bucks) was unfortunately very flavorless I had to douse it with Parmesan cheese and peppers to give it flavor, granted it was my first time here and maybe there other food is good but the ingredients just seemed very cheap, sorry I want to be nicer as my service was very good and it is a nice place with a very homey feel just wish the pizza was better.

We had a groupon for Little Nick's and went over the weekend. You can't tell anything about the restaurant from the outside. It's cozy on the inside and has relaxed family restaurant feeling. The staff was really friendly, telling us about other specials they offer and helping us make up our mind from a couple of the specialty pizzas. We had pizza and garlic knots and big tall glasses of coke. It's not near where I live, so I don't know how often I'll make it back, but it is A-OK (as the three star rating is labeled here on Yelp).

We love this little local pizza shop. It is often our go to during week nights when we don't have time to cook. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. The food has always been good and made fresh. Their side salad is better than the average side salad. Good lettuce, fresh veggies on top.

Being new to the area, we were on the look out from a new Pizza place. Upon finding out that they do no deliver , we stopped by after wok one day to try it out. This place has a feeling of family and friends.. a lot of people knew each other and there was familiarity between the staff and customers. It is a small location, with just a handful of tables and a very small bar to sit at as well. Service was good, we were well taken care of... not really slow, but more relaxed would be my opinion of the speed. I wasn't really in a rush, so we just wanted a nice a relaxing dinner. Had some garlic bread with cheese... amazing... had a 10" pizza that had peperoni, sausage, ham and ground beef... and it was just the way i like my pizza... thinner crust... yummy. We both enjoyed our dinner, I posted some pics of our pizza and bread on my FB, and my sister back home said it looks so good that we better take her there when she comes for vacation... We'll be back.

Been coming here for YEARS. It is a cute little place right off Kipling. The pizza is really good, as is the soup. I haven't really tried anything else because I like their pizza. If you buy a extra large pizza, you get a small for free. It's a great deal if you go in with kids who are picky. You can get what you want and a small free cheese pizza, have leftovers and everyone is happy. :)

Great neighborhood joint! The bar is small, but fun and there are great beers on tap. The pizza was great and the price was good. I will definitely be going back and reserving my spot at the bar next time. The service is quick, but not the most "conversational", but it's a great spot to relax, have a beer and pizza at the end of the day.

Where to begin! Garlic knots were burnt! Canned mushrooms were in calzone! Paid 9.95 for noodles and sauce I had probably like 15 penne noodles on my plate and the sauce omg disgusting so bland and tasted like can sauce from Walmart. Very very disappointed, out waitress was awesome though, highly recommend you do not eat there! Overpriced bland garbage!

Have taken the family here twice on weeknights. Always order pizza and my husband says it's one of the best he's had in the area. I think it's pretty good, too. Ordered 1/2 the pizza without anything spicy for the daughters. Waitress told us while it was in the oven that they'd realized they made the whole pie with spicy ingredients and already put a small specialty pizza in the oven for the girls (complimentary of course). More to take home for leftovers! Our only complaint is that sodas are expensive and they don't offer pitchers of soda. So, now we know to get water. Mondays are 1/2 price pizzas, btw. Great time to go check them out.

Visited once, nothing really to bring us back. I was dissapointed when it was half mexican and half italian and neither were very good. I ordered a small pie, my husband a burrito, and sampled from one another. Honestly, I could make better at home and save the trip.

If you're not Italian, you will love this place. If you're Italian, you'll be pissed that your mama didn't cook pasta dishes like this. Mmmm. Everything is homemade, the best alfredo sauce. Don't be put off by the storefront location in a strip mall....you'll think you're in Brooklyn when you start eating.

I want to give this place a higher rating. The sauce is good, not amazing but good.... The eggplant is sliced so him you can't taste it but it had promise. The bread had no flavor. I would totally go back though, but the PRICES!! wow! Very pricey place for what it is. Decent Italian food.

You know, I feel I was duped into visiting this restaurant. By the looks of it from the street, the name, the fact that "Pizza" is, in fact, part of the name, you'd think it was Italian. The minute we sat down and I realized it was a Mexican - slash - Italian restaurant, my heart sank. Tried the pizza and salad and thought they were just ok. Thank goodness there are lots of other Italian places in the neighborhood.

Lil Nick's Pizza was a pleasant surprise. It's menu is Italian with lots of pizza and calzones. This review is only based on one dining experience, but it was good. With all the "New York" style pizza places in the Denver area it was nice to have some "Chicago" style pizza options on a menu for once. I would recommend Lil Nick's!

I had a feeling about this place. Not only are the yelp reviews good but i heard good things from other folks. The service is top notch. The food is always solid. Pizza is great. I have yet to try the pasta. The lasagna looked tasty. They also have a pretty solid menu with mexican dishes on it. The people here are really friendly. I really do get the family owned vibe at lil nicks.

I can't believe the ratings of the other reviewers. As far as the pizza goes, it was one of the best I've had in a long time at a good price. It's a little hole in the wall type place, but, that's what I expect from a really good pizza joint. Service good pizza in a clean place and I am very happy.

Been around for long long time. Still around because of good atmosphere and good food. Has all the standards you expect from an Italian restaurant. Done well, with so much more flavor than those chain restaurants. Try the minestrone soup. You won't be sorry.

To start the iced tea tasted flavorless just like water. This seems to be the theme at this restaurant as the rest of the meal followed suit. The red sauce they use for their ravioli appetizer and for their calzone is seriously lacking in flavor. Even a little salt would help it out immensely. The calzones were okay, hot and fresh but just lacking anything memorable, and again the sauce. Ugh! Tried the green chili because i thought maybe this would be their saving grace. Again, seriously lacking flavor. The atmosphere is Grimm and in need of a facelift. I wanted to like this place as we pass it daily but i was so disappointed. Wanted to add that the service was friendly but pricing is too high for what you get.

The pizza simply was "not good.". Thin tasteless crust, bland sauce, not enough cheese... Just NOT GOOD. Take out took forever, 30 minutes not 20 quoted. Do yourself a favor. Bake a Papa Murphys pie at home and stay away from Li'l Nick's!

What a wonderful discovery! I was tooling around on Labor Day trying to find a local joint that was open (I don't do chains) and found Lil Nick's - given it's very humble exterior, I knew it had to rely on its good food. I asked if they had a wood fired grill - nope. Fresh basil? Nope. That started to turn me off. But then it came. Best pizza I can remember in years. Had the 14" with only mozzarella spinach sun-dried tomatoes and fresh garlic. SO good. SO hot I burned my tongue because couldn't wait for it to cool off. Am going back tonight to try the brews with another one! The garlic bread knots were pretty so-so. PS - pizza was half-price for Labor Day!

Just a great little hole-in-the-wall. So, I roamed in to Lil Nick's with a groupon type thing to use. I got an Italian sampler type dinner with lasagne, ravioli, linguine, minestrone & garlic knots. The pastas were great, the soup was that truly homemade kind (no Progresso here), and the garlic knots were good. They have really cheap beer here. In fact, their regular priced $3.25 drafts and $3.50 bottles rival most happy hours I have been to. I enjoyed a bottle or two of pumpkin beer, yum! The place was pretty dead the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. But, that was fine by me, since I'd brought in a pile of school work to do. My server didn't try to roust me out when I was done, just checked on me occasionally to see if I needed more libations. This is a great spot and I will definitely be back. It actually reminds me of a restaurant with virtually the same name back in San Jose.

So I came here to order a small pizza for lunch. Never having been here before I didn't know what to expect. The place is pretty small, maybe seating about 30 at most.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I had the pizza here one day it was good so I took my inlaws out for lunch and the worm turned my calzone was burnt my wifes meatball was cold motherinlaws bambino was under cooked. The server need a class in hospitality rude snide told her our problems and she was like oh really . So lets send out a great big shout to gwen way to care hope you wont need to find a new job soon if the quality of service and food is this restaurant s stability your day are numbered

(4)Glenne W.
Just okay pizza. The service was really slow and we couldn't find our server when we needed refills or when we were ready for our check.
(2)Lauren M.

(3)Marcy O.

(4)Kelli H.
(4)Kalah D.
(1)Matt L.
Lil nicks is a hidden gem. Pizza is always fantastic and the service is great. Anybody who relies on food to survive should definitely try lil nicks. It's also always great to see either the owners or (lil) Nick himself there.

(4)Audi B.
Visited once, nothing really to bring us back. I was dissapointed when it was half mexican and half italian and neither were very good. I ordered a small pie, my husband a burrito, and sampled from one another. Honestly, I could make better at home and save the trip.
(2)Linda V.
(4)Teppie A.
I want to give this place a higher rating. The sauce is good, not amazing but good.... The eggplant is sliced so him you can't taste it but it had promise. The bread had no flavor. I would totally go back though, but the PRICES!! wow! Very pricey place for what it is. Decent Italian food.
(2)Betty B.
Have been going here lots with my family and something was seriously jacked up with the food yesterday. None of us ate it. What happened Lil Nicks?
(1)Renee K.
(2)Matt S.
My family has been coming here for years and Bob is a great guy and business owner. Great little Italian spot.
(5)Craig D.
(4)Ramon G.
(4)Jenny C.
My dad has been coming to Lil Nick's for years and years. I don't get the appeal, but I don't mind coming in to eat here every few months. They use some kind of spice that I can't quite place, and it doesn't really sit well with me. The chips and salsa are pretty good. My dad loves the grinder. I'm usually one to find something I like and stick with it, but I haven't found a favorite dish. Maybe I'll find something I like when we go again in a few months.
(3)Chantel C.
LOVE IT! Locally owned restaurant that serves some of the best pizza I have ever had! The Lucky Seven is so tasty you will eat until you almost burst! They have a meatball sub on crusty Italian bread with fantastic sauce and melted cheese... you will never be disappointed! Make sure you check out their daily deals from buy one get one pizzas to half price pizzas.

Sadly the quality seems to be slipping here. Went in last Sunday and ordered a salad and a Pizza under the "Buy an 18" and get a free small" special. The 18" was pepperoni and tasted, well, flavorless. The smaller Cheese seemed to have a zestier taste and actually was the one I preferred. The worst were the salads that were served with browned lettuce leaves. It seems the style of this salad has changed also, from a strictly Italian salad which I liked (mostly lettuce and black olives) to more of a generic mix with olives. Either way, I was not impressed. Can this be the same Nick's I first discovered or is this a one-time fluke? I suppose I'll give them one more chance. BTW, you should not have one girl trying to take orders, run the register, and assemble to-go orders during dinner rush. Sadly, I must drop this review down to a 3. Hopefully they improve. Sunday is no excuse for serving the left over week's lettuce in a salad.
(3)Austen H.
The food was pretty good and the service was great. I'd like to give it another try to be 100% sure but it was over all pretty good italian food.
(4)Mandy B.
I love the pizza at Lil' Nicks! Every time I order it is hot and fresh! We usually order the Carlos and the Buffalo Pizza and they are excellent, especially if you like a little kick to your pizza. Monday night is half price pizza for dine in only so go check them out!
(5)Brad G.
I can't believe the ratings of the other reviewers. As far as the pizza goes, it was one of the best I've had in a long time at a good price. It's a little hole in the wall type place, but, that's what I expect from a really good pizza joint. Service good pizza in a clean place and I am very happy.
(5)Amanda C.
Consistently good pizza with fresh ingredients. Crust and sauce are delish. Atmosphere is a bit dated it it's always friendly and clean.
(4)Cory N.
Great pizza. Crust was awesome.
(5)AnnEliz C.
Been around for long long time. Still around because of good atmosphere and good food. Has all the standards you expect from an Italian restaurant. Done well, with so much more flavor than those chain restaurants. Try the minestrone soup. You won't be sorry.
(4)Kiersten S.
(1)Laurie L.
(1)Elky M.
(4)Ryan B.
They don't answer their phone so i can't order pizza... Too bad for me, and them. Drunks in the area must keep them in business
(1)Greg R.
This place has a great local and friendly atmosphere. Best calzones in the area IMO.
(4)Brent L.
Decent pie but as others said not a lot of seasoning. Fresh veggies on our pizza. Crust was blah. For a Spanish guy owning the place... Not bad
(3)Mo C.
(4)Seth F.
Okay Italian food. Nothing special, but not awful. Decor is old-school and food is middle of the road.

The food was pretty good and the service was great. I'd like to give it another try to be 100% sure but it was over all pretty good italian food.

I love the pizza at Lil' Nicks! Every time I order it is hot and fresh! We usually order the Carlos and the Buffalo Pizza and they are excellent, especially if you like a little kick to your pizza. Monday night is half price pizza for dine in only so go check them out!

I can't believe the ratings of the other reviewers. As far as the pizza goes, it was one of the best I've had in a long time at a good price. It's a little hole in the wall type place, but, that's what I expect from a really good pizza joint. Service good pizza in a clean place and I am very happy.

Lil nicks is a hidden gem. Pizza is always fantastic and the service is great. Anybody who relies on food to survive should definitely try lil nicks. It's also always great to see either the owners or (lil) Nick himself there.
